Natural sodium bentonite, montmorillonite ≥85%*. We do not upgrade calcium ore with soda ash — the ore we mill is sodium-grade from the start, so there is no chemical residue and no activation cost hidden in your spec sheet.

Granule Shape & Size

• Round granule 1.6–2.5 mm — the premium SKU: uniform spheres, lowest dust, cleanest pour
• Ball granule 2.0–3.0 mm — heavier clumps, minimal tracking
• Crushed granule 0.8–4.0 mm — the value SKU for price-led shelves
• 1–3.5 mm screened — specified for automatic self-cleaning litter boxes

Loading reference: bentonite is weight-limited, not volume-limited. At 0.75–0.95 g/cm³ a 20GP reaches its cargo limit at roughly 20–22 tonnes — for 5 kg bags that is about 4,000 bags, and the container still has empty space*. That density is why landed cost per kg looks attractive but landed cost per litre of use needs checking. Ask sales to quote both.

Which Markets Choose Bentonite

Bentonite is still the volume leader globally and the default in price-led channels — Latin America, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and the value tier of any market. It is also what professional buyers stock for catteries, shelters and multi-cat households, where service life matters more than flushability. If your customer’s instinct is “cats prefer the feel of sand”, bentonite converts better than any plant litter.

Before You Request a Quote

Not flushable: bentonite is mineral clay and will clog plumbing. It goes to landfill or garden compost only — this must match your local disposal rules and your packaging claims.

Shelf life: 36 months sealed in a dry place — the longest of any litter we make.

Ask us for the XRD report: sodium bentonite shows a d(001) value near 1.25 nm; calcium-blended ore does not. Calcium substitution is the most common quality fraud in this category — every incoming ore shipment is verified by X-ray diffraction, and the report ships with your samples.
